Why would you have a protein shake when you can have ice cream for the same macros?  Seriously, ever since I started making this, I have shakes a lot less just because this is so much better.  Ice cream is my favorite dessert in the whole wide world.  No intention of giving it up, but I know it’s not always the best idea even as a flexible dieter.  This recipe has saved me from my old 2 pints a week habit and therefore, several extra pounds.  Of all the protein treats I make, this one is the one I make the most.  It’s quick, it tastes great and it always fits my macros! I was being extra adding a chopped up Chocolate Mint Builder Bar for my topping here, but this entire bowl of ice cream otherwise is 21p/4f/3.5c !!  Of course those macros will differ a bit depending on what protein powder and plant-based milk you decide to use.  My favorite right now is Tru Supplements Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie protein powder.  The flavor is so amazing I don’t even add any extra sweetener.  If you use something else, I do recommend adding a bit of stevia to taste, but Tru’s Dessert Line is fire all by itself!

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop Tru Supplements Mint Chocolate Chip or favorite flavor protein powder
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1+ cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 TB Cacao nibs (optional)

Makes 1 large serving Macros per serving 21p/4f/3.5c (with nibs)

Put all your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Done – easiest recipe ever!!
